Sydney whisky lovers rejoice. The Four Pillars lab in Surry Hills is turning into a Japanese whisky pop-up for just one weekend – and it features an extremely limited $1,650 bottle.
Inspired by the listening bars of Japan, the Four Pillars Lab will be transformed into a whisky bar as part of a collaboration with the award-winning Fuji Whisky for this Saturday and Sunday only.
Described as a “once in a lifetime tasting”, the menu includes the newly launched ‘2022 Fuji Single Blended Masterpiece’ – but be quick there’s only 300 bottles up for grabs in Australia and a price tag of $1,650 a bottle.
“The 2022 Masterpiece is a truly exceptional liquid – it is an ode to the natural gifts of Mt. Fuji; a reflection of our place but also our ability to produce multiple styles of whisky at once,” Fuji’s Master Blender Jota Tanaka said.
Tanaka said across his decorated career, he’s taken inspiration from the major whisky countries across the world including America, Canada, and Scotland – which can all be appreciated in his latest masterpiece.
The experience also comes complete with a bespoke omakase menu from Besuto’s Joel Best, including smoked oysters, A5 Wagyu and Fuji gelato. Each dish is to be paired with a Fuji Whisky cocktail.
While the Masterpiece remains a limited edition, those curious about Single Blended products at a more accessible price point can get their hands on Fuji Single Blended Japanese Whisky, new and available from this month exclusively via The Whisky Club.
Anybody who purchases a Fuji single Blended Japanese Whisky goes into the draw to win one of three bottles of the 2022 Masterpiece.
